Improve Your Appearance: Not For Anyone Else But Yourself.

Friday, 2 June 2017

Do you ever feel like you're overlooked? You're the girl that people never see. Instead, they check out your friends, or the girl walking behind you - Everyone's been there; it's not an awesome feeling. But has anyone ever told you that you could do something about that? - It's not about changing yourself, neither is it about anyone else but yourself. If you're happy with your appearance and the person you are - good for you, girl. It's all about confidence. But if you think certain areas could be improved to be more confident, here's how.

Face. Makeup should be renamed 'magic', because that's really what it is. With so many new techniques out there nowadays, espeicially in the contouring and colour correcting department, you can sculpt facial features, hide acne and blemishes and even have an instant 'nose job'! It's cray the things we can do, so if there'se something about your face that you're really self-conscious about, make may be the cure. you just need to learn how to use it the right way. You don't want to hide behind it though; you just want to use it as a tool to accentuate your good bits and conceal the bad bits and keep the parts your're really confident natural looking. For me the main thing would be hiding the acne in ways that the finished product still looks natural.

Clothes. Are your clothes not doing your body justice anymore? No matter what your body type, it's so important to dress right for it. If you're a curvy girl, don't hide it with huge clothes that hang off your body! Curves should be embraced, so don't be scared to flaunt what you've got. Plus, shopping is a great excuse to gather all your girls up and make a day out of it, so call them up and get ready to put on a fashion show! However, it's not just about what flatters your body most but it's also about how confident you feel in what you're wearing and finding the right balance.

Accessories. Accessories are so much fun to play around with, whether that be with a scarf, a bag or some jewellery. They can be added as a final touch to your overall look, and can bring everything together. Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought 'there's something missing...?' Well, maybe it was that new piece of roman jewellery you bought, or the little bow tie to put in your hair or simply a pair of earrings. Don't be afraid to be daring and experiment, that's what addds to the fun, so get mixing and matching and see what you can come up with.

Hair. Are you at that point where you find yourself having a bad hair day - everyday? We've all been there, and we refuse to acknowledge that we need a new look, because it just seems to be too much hassle, but is it really? Don't you have a favourite celebrity hairstyle that you've always wanted to try out - Now is a better time that any. Interesting and related story; I was on a night out once with my girls and they were all being chatted up except me. The only guy to approach me and talk to me said "You need a haircut for a more fresh look". In fact at that point I was very unsure of my hair style and my lack of confidence must have given that off. Sure, it's scary, we don't want to risk cutting our hair too short, or dying it a colour that we hate, but how will we ever  know if we don't try? As long as you find a good, qualified hairdresser, you will have nothing to worry about.

So take the leap, it's about time you do something for you.
