London Fashion Week highlights for A/W17

The last post about London Fashion Week A/W 17, I promise. I've already chosen 5 street style looks from London Fashion Week, now to the harder job; 5 highlights from the catwalk. Again, I chose only five or this would be a never ending post and in September there will be the usual trend series to go in more detail. Meanwhile, let's just take a look at the five highlight trends.

The Queen's Hunting Wardrobe.

Queen's wardrobe represented by the brown check print and Elizabethan ruffles

Yes, here's as close to Royalty as we're going to get but hey, who's complaining? Bring on the tweed, the and brown checks just like in Mulberry, Preen, Burberry and Simone Rocha.

Oversized Jumper.

Oversized jumpers over flowy skirts and camis

So oversized it comes down to your knees. Kind of like a jumper dress only you're going to be layering it over flowy skirts or midi slips. So, don't get rid of you midi cami-dresses yet. Topshop, House of Holland and Peter Pilotto are the proof.

Lady in a Sheep's Skin.

'Ba ba black sheep have you any wool?' is a good question to ask because you are going to need that wool to wrap yourself in it.

Socks and Sandals.

Socks and sandals are a thing.

I'm sending you the memo from now, don't put away your sandals when the spring/summer season is over. Get yourself some cool, jazzy socks and wear your sandals with socks. I'm not quite sure about this one, and quite sure many of you might not be too keen either. But, who knows maybe I'll give it a try.

Duvet Covers.

You can wear the duvet covers.

If you think socks and sandals is too much, what do you think of this one? Preen and Mulberry sent their models down the runway wrapped up in duvet like coats. At least we know for sure the cold will not be an issue.
