S/S 15 Trend Series - Beauty | The Eyes

Wednesday, 1 April 2015
When I choose the products I am using before I do my make-up, most of the stuff I take out goes on the eye area.  Probably, then, this is where I will be swapping most products for the S/S 15 Look.

Last season mascara was, to say the least, the most essential for an A/W 14-15 look.  With several coats for a bulky in your face lash we go now to barely there lashes.  If you're investing in a new mascara this season make it one that lengthens not volumises like the Max Factor Clump Defy Extensions Black.  Well, as a consolation, spidery lashes were still seen on the runway but not as much as the natural lash.

While our lashes will not be taking any of the attention this season we could spare some for the lids.  For eye colour there are two roads you could take.  First is the metallics road.  Washes of gold, bronze, nudes and taupes should overtake your eyeshadow section.  I don't have much problem in this department because I usually go for these colours all year round but here are some suggestions for you to pick up; Bourjois Colorband 2-in-1 Eyeshadow and LinerRimmel Glam Eyes Quad Eyeshadow in Smokey Brown, byTerry Ombre Blackstar Melting Eyeshadow in Beyond Gold, Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze.

The second road to eye colour is a bold and bright one.  In this case what you need is bright and flashy eyeliners. Here's a couple; Rimmel Soft Kohl Eye Pencil in Jungle Green, Yves Saint Laurent Summer Look: Dessin Du Regard Waterproof Eyeliner in Bleu Lumiere, Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Turquoise,  Givenchy Colorecreation Collection Color Kajal in Turquoise Imagination.

As for brows, they are still going strong.  Keep your big brows going just like last season.  All you need is a brow kit or a pencil, if you have not been using one so far.  I have been using the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil which is said to be a dupe of the Anastasia BrowWiz. only a lot cheaper.
