January Favourites

Friday, 30 January 2015
Did hear that? That was January zooming by. First favourite post of the year.  If you have read my previous posts you probably know that Beginning of January was a bit off so most of these favourites I've gathered during the last couple of weeks.

Beauty Favourites

My top favourite this month has been the Dr. Nick Lowe Sebum Control Cleanser.  I've already mentioned this in one of my Life Wear Beauty posts.  This has anti-bacterial agent in it and is very gentle on the skin.  My skin had been through quite a bit and it has done great things to it.  I kept my routine very simple using just it, a serum and a moisturiser and it has worked wonders.

Next is the L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation.  I'm not sure who wears their foundation for 24H, definitely not me so I can't test those claims but it is definitely long wearing.  When I have days out and I want my foundation to be great at the end of it this is the one I reach out for.  Plus, it is very good coverage but still light feeling. Usually I'm not a big fan of medium-full coverage foundations but this has exceeded my expectations.

This month I was all about the best, quick eye looks.  So I reached out for some old favourites, the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Shadow Paint.   Just a bit of it over the lid and a some blending out, even with your finger, and ready to go.  As I am into the bronzy, browny eye look again I used these as shadow bases too and they made my make-up last longer.  Rich Russet and Mac Woodwinked look amazing together...just saying.

Still on the natural theme, I was not all out on blusher.  I have had this for quite a while but I haven't gotten into it as much yet.  It's the elf Blush.  It does not have a shade written on it so I forgot what it's called but it is a coral but not a very orange coral.  It has a tiny bit of sheen. It think of it as a the a glowy winter flushed cheek colour.

While being all neutral and brown on the face, I took the dark to the nails.  MB Nail Lab in a midnight blue colour. Enjoying the darks before digging for the pastels and brights.  Never heard of the brand before, I found it in a local store but it is amazing.

Fashion Favourites

Just like my purse, phone and face powder, this Asos Beanie always found itself going around with me.  I do love beanies and I have quite a collection of styles and colours, which makes choosing a hard task, but this month I have shown a special place in my heart for this one.  It's too cute to resist.
