August Favourites

Now that August is over I got myself thinking what things did I fall in love with over this month.  And this is my list.

Artdeco Lipstick (shade 108) - For a long time I was looking for a bright orange lipstick that does not look like red when applied on the lips.  So it was a definite must-have when I saw this lipstick in a local drugstore.  It has two main characteristics which made me adore it.  First of all, the formula is moisturising and soft which is good since my lips dry up easily.  Secondly, it is quite long lasting which is not usual for moisturising formulas.  I must say, with this lipstick in my collection I enjoyed wearing a bold lip a lot more.

Nivea Daily Essentials Regenerating Night Cream - This night cream spreads easily and is absorbed into the skin in an instant, which I love because I don't have to wait around for it to be absorbed before I go to bed.  The best part is that it sort of creates a mask-like feel which keeps my face hydrated till morning.  This has helped my skin so much and I feel that since I've been using this I've had more good skin days than before.  It also helped keep my skin hydrated when the air conditioning was on.

Nivea BB cream 5in1 Beautifying Moisturiser (light) - Another Nivea product but I do love them.  Because I have been having more good skin days and because it was so hot in August there were times where I happily avoided a base of foundation.  Instead, to even out my skin tone before applying makeup I started using this BB cream.  It blends easily and does not feel cakey or heavy, perfect to beat the heat.

Ultrasun Sunblock extreme formula 50+ - Of course, like all of you probably, I don't want a wrinkly face and so sun protection is vital.  Also, sun burns can cause diseases which I'm not very keen on.  The fact that it is free from perfume is a bonus for me especially for applying under makeup. I have used this ALL THE TIME.  Every time I was going out I put some on, be it after moisturising or before my makeup.   And indeed my face still looks like paper...but then that's why bronzers exist.  Thank you Ultrasun, you have been my face-guard this month.

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint (Prickly Pear) - This has basically been my favourite nail polish since March, when I bought it, but I like changing my nail colour so I wasn't using it as much as I wanted. However, this Summer I found myself using it a lot more and this boils down to one thing alone.  It's formula is AMAZING and it lasts for SO long unlike other nail polishes which chip off after a couple of days.  Also, I find that having your hands in water for a long time tends to ruin nail polish a lot faster especially sea water, but this....NO.  So it makes it perfect for this time of year if you're a swimmer like me.

The next favourite is fashion related and it is my coral collared shirt from primark. Whenever I could I was wearing this shirt, people must have thought I have nothing else to wear...but I don't care.  I love the colour so much and most of all the collar.  It is like lace pattern but made out of crotchet and it was love at first sight.  I've worn this various ways: over leggings, tucked in jeans, tucked in skirts, tucking in just the front to make it look dip hemmed... of course I will soon be wearing it under jumpers (as if I'm getting rid of it so quickly).

They're not many but I didn't try a lot of new things this month,  I still hope you liked my August favourites.

Before you leave please leave your comments below.  I'd love to hear about your favourites adn the different things that I myself can try and need to start using.

Talk to you soon :) xx
